Core Quantum Technologies is a nanoparticle company that focuses on fluorescent nanoparticles, magnetic nanoparticles, and nanoparticles that combine both fluorescence and magnetism.
Our History
- 2010 – Ohio State Drs. Jessica Winter and Gang Ruan publish ‘Simultaneous Magnetic Manipulation and Fluorescent Tracking of Multiple Individual Hybrid Nanostructures’ and ‘Alternating Color Quantum Dot Nanocomposites for Particle Tracking’.
- 2012 – Winter and Ruan join Kunal Parikh and Kalpesh Mahajan to commercialize the technology forming Core Quantum Technologies.
- 2014 – Core Quantum is granted a Phase I SBIR from the NSF to commercialize the MultiDots.
- 2015 – Core Quantum secures investment from GMT Venture Partners.
- 2017 – Core Quantum hires CEO, Kristie Krug.
- 2018 – Granted a Phase I SBIR from the NSF to commercialize MagDots.
- 2019 – Granted a Phase II SBIR from the NSF to scale up production and commercialization of the MagDots partnering with the Cleveland Clinic.
- 2020 – Core Quantum hires chief Principal Scientist, Dr. Mythreyi Unni.
- 2022 – Core Quantum starts product launch.
