CQT offers kits to conjugate antibodies of interest to our dual fluorescent and magnetic reagent, MagDots.

MagDot is a dual-purpose reagent, that combines quantum dots and superparamagnetic iron oxide particles within a patented PEG polymer coating. The pegylated magnetic and fluorescent nanoparticles have very tight size distribution and the amine functional groups on the surface allows conjugation of proteins to label cells of interest.

We offer kits that can conjugate either 300 ug and 1.5 mg of antibody. The two step process includes a 2 hour reaction where Fc region of your antibody is site-specifically and covalently labeled and the amines in the MagDots are modified with a ester. The MagDots and the modified antibody undergo click chemistry reactions to yield antibody conjugates in a day. Any unreacted antibody is purified via chromatography resin that has both size exclusion and binding properties.
